Mt. Tapyas in Coron, Palawan

Me and my friend, together with a new pal from Czech Republic, Vladimir, we climbed Mt. Tapyas after our first day Island tour. It was around 5pm when we started our ascend, just in time for the sunset.

This is your jump off point to Mt. Tapyas. Just a walking distance from the town pier, church and plaza.

Mt. Tapyas has a total of 700 plus steps so you'll be catching your breath by the time you reach half way and your legs may already be shaking when you reach the top . LOL. Im not scaring you or anything but that was my case.     Thanks to the amazing view of the town and the islands accross and the air from up the mountain it cured my exhaustion.

At the left side, accross the island is the sleeping giant. That's were the lakes and lagoons and beaches are located.

The cross and the Coron signage lights up at night.

The hills at the back side.

Another rainbow

My one and only sunset sesh while in Coron.

They say its best to head straight to Maquinit Hotspring after climbing Mt. Tapyas but in our case we went to Kapemos to eat instead because we were really hungry.

Vladimir from Czezh Republic in CYC. He's only 23 and a Chemist student.
